We have been receiving many new fabrics, Our color wall is definatly growing offering a large variety of basics and blenders. If you are looking for something we haven't received, please do reach out to us. We are focusing on building this important selection and your suggestions are very important to us and look forward to hearing from you.

Stichin'n Friends Sew Space
Our new sew space is now up and running and we are excited to invite you all to “Stichin’ Friends” - Please visit our Classes & Events on our website to book your sew days with us.
Our table rentals are 20$ per day, this includes access to a cutting table, pressing table, iron, and great company!
we also have limited kitchen facilities.
We also invite all crafters to come join us, Scrapbooking, Cross Stitching, Diamond Painting, Paint Night, or any other crafting groups, please spread the word!

Our Pattern Pick of the Month! "Country Bunnies"
How cute is this pattern!! The Pattern Basket seems to be on a role with “Country Bunnies”, looking for something to lift your Easter spirits here just in time for Easter. so much fun to do! The quilt size is 61.5in x 74in.

Welcome to Lakeside Block of the Month
Forever Friends Quilting is launching their first Block of the Month quilt soon. We are patiently awaiting the arrival of the fabric and patterns but I have had the great opportunity of being able to work with these fabrics and complete some of the months while we wait.
The pattern is called Lakeside and comprises 17 different Batik fabrics in shades of both blue and green. You will have the opportunity to purchase the entire quilt package or buy it monthly. Each month there will be all the fabric required to complete the block as well as the pattern. After 10 months you will have a stunning 95x95 quilt.
As I have said, I have been working on this quilt for awhile now at the store and have hung the blocks on the wall in the sewing room for you to see. Many of you have stopped by to have a look and talked to me about it. I am nearing the completion of block/month 7 so to complete this step, I will be taking down the samples soon and surprising everyone with a more complete look at the finished quilt.
Here are a couple of thigs that I think are important hints to help prepare you for this adventure. I strongly suggest that you purchase a box of sandwich size Ziplock type bags to put your pieces into. There are many fabrics and some of the colors are very similar and it is important to keep them separate and labeled as Fabric A etc. As well, I have been using a bobbin weight thread in the bobbin and a size 10 or 11 needle. The needle size allows for a finer hole in that batiks and the bobbin thread helps to make a fine stitching and seam line. Be sure to practice that ever important 1/4 inch seam as well.
